Touba Nayde

GIE Touba Nayde manages a housing estate whose plots are allocated to its contributing members. Tracking relied on lists and Excel files, with some tricky cases: certain plot numbers were claimed by several co-holders.

What was needed was a reliable tool, usable directly on a phone, that keeps a clear record of who is the official allottee of each plot and who is claiming it, and that makes it possible to settle disputes one by one. Because the data is sensitive, the app had to work without a server or an online account.

BarkelTech developed an iOS and Android app that runs entirely on the device: data is stored in a local SQLite database, with no backend. The initial list of members was imported from the existing files.

The app distinguishes between a plot's official allottee and the members who claim it. A claimant who is not the allottee shows up as a dispute, to be resolved from the plot's record, which opens when you tap the plot on the site plan. The settings offer a full database backup that can be exported and restored, as well as Excel import and export for sharing lists. Forms are validated as data is entered, and the interface uses familiar iOS gestures so that it is quick to pick up.

On the technical side, the app is built with Expo and React Native. The local database is structured with Drizzle ORM: its migrations are versioned and applied automatically at start-up, so the app can evolve without losing data already entered. User preferences are kept from one session to the next, and haptic feedback makes the app feel more natural to use.
